Dedipta Bhattacharjee is a 20-year old woman and an Aquarius. She was born in Bangladesh and came to New York when she was about three years old. Despite being born in another country, she cannot see her life outside of New York City. She is an avid siteseer and enjoys exploring the city. Bhattacharjee is also a coffee shop connoisseur, having been to a surplus of them all throughout New York City and debating starting a blog about her experiences. Additionally, she is a writer and lover of books. She enjoys being in the presence of books. She was once a bookworm, but due to the pressures of college, she does not pick books up as often.
Dedipta attends the City College of New York with an English major and Journalism minor. Alongside the advanced placement college equivalent courses she took while in high school, she has taken extra classes due to the pandemic which leaves room for her to pick another area of study. Specifically, she is currently taking 21 credits She debates double majoring in something, but is not sure what specifically. However, since she aspires to be an author, she is currently working on her publishing certificate and is working on a project to publish a poetry book. She is currently working on earning a scholarship to travel abroad which gives her a taste of her dream job of getting paid to travel as a travel writer.
Dedipta hopes to land an internship in the field of journalism or English, she has had temporary jobs in bookstores and has attempted to work for libraries prior to the pandemic. She used to work for The Frick Collection Museum and really enjoyed working at a museum, she would like to work for another one as well since she liked the environment. She is a person of many interests and because of this she does not want to settle for only one field of work. Despite her hardships during the pandemic, she has prioritized her studies and gained clarity on self-care. She strives to continue making efforts to put her life into place.
